For the week:

Delays “You See Colours” (2006)genre: British Pop.
The Black Angels “Passover” (2006)genre: Neo-60’s Psychedelic Rock.
Depeche Mode “Ultra” (1997)genre: Techno Pop.
Kelly Jones “Only The Names Have Changed” (2007)genre: Britpop.
“American Gigolo” Soundtrack (1980)genre: Mixed.
The Cars “Panorama” (1980)genre: New Wave. Their most underappreciated album.
Jenny Lewis & The Watson Twins “Rabbit Fur Coat” (2005)genre: Americana.
Arctic Monkeys “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” (2006)genre: British Power Pop.
Band Of Horses “Everything All The Time” (2006)genre: American Indie Rock. I just recently heard “The Funeral” — one of the songs on this album — in a car commercial. Hmmm…sometimes I think I could make a solid living being the guy in an ad agency who chooses the music that accompanies commercials.
I’ve had their latest (“Cease to Begin”) for the past two months, but I’ve been too obsessed with this album to even start that one.
Embrace “Out Of Nothing” (2004)genre: Emoschlock.
Stephanie Dosen “a lily for the spectre” (2007)genre: Folk. This is starting to reach heavy rotation status. If you like your folk music, you won’t go wrong picking this up.
